“Monastic” book collection and subsequently the bridges towards the light of knowledge, the light of the reading room, where order and peace aiding concentration should prevail
Two identical cubes, made of various materials with different functions merge, thus combining two directions dominating in the area, one outlined by Szczytnicka street and the course of the Odra River, Joliot-Curie Boulevard.
The cuboid parallel to Szczytnicka street, austere in its form, covered with unpolished granite, with a few window openings, monastic in its expression, holds all the collections in the storehouse.
The cube seen from the Joliot-Curie Boulevard is a glazed structure having the function of a hall and cover for the terraces.
